In the far reaches of the galaxy, among the swirling nebulae and distant stars, there existed a being older than many of the celestial bodies themselves. Her name was Elphi, a creature of legend and fear, known in hushed whispers as an Organite. Unlike the vampires of old Earth lore, Organites didn't thirst for blood; they craved the very organs that kept living beings alive.

Elphi's origins were shrouded in mystery, lost in the annals of time. It was said that she had been born during the cataclysmic collapse of a star, an event that imbued her with a peculiar form of immortality. Her body did not age, her strength did not wane, and her hunger for organs was insatiable. Over the millennia, Elphi drifted through space, an ethereal predator hidden in the void, sustaining herself on the organs of those unfortunate enough to cross her path.

In the present day, Elphi had found her way to Vanguard, it's HQ on a colossal space station that gives a home to all those that desire its shelter. Vanguard was a beacon of hope, justice, security and innovation, its MedTech wing renowned across galaxies for its advancements in medical science and technology. It was here that Elphi saw an opportunity to sate her eternal hunger in a manner that would raise no suspicions.

Elphi joined the MedTech wing under the guise of a brilliant surgeon and researcher. Her knowledge of anatomy and physiology, honed over thousands of years, quickly earned her a reputation as one of the most skilled medical professionals on the station. To her colleagues, she was a miracle worker, capable of saving lives in the most dire of circumstances. To Elphi, it was a perfect cover that brought her closer to the organs she so desired.
